#3041 Three Fijian warriors (taken to the United States to work in Barnum's circus) Original albumen photograph, c 1872 (mounted on board) Photographer unknown 220 x 170 mm (mount slightly larger) Each man wears a whale tooth necklace and holds a war club, totokia. The man on the right wears an elaborate feather headdress. The man in the centre is General Ra Biau, who died in Pennsylvania in May 1872. Fine condition. An absolutely stunning image.
