Albumen carte-de-visite photograph, c 1872-1886 Photographer: Foy Brothers, Thames 88 x 52 mm (three borders slightly trimmed) The chief wears the highly prized tail feathers of the huia bird in his hair; a greenstone ear pendant, kuru, along with a feather ear ornament; and a feather cloak, kahu-huruhuru. Fine condition.
